Sitework Excavation

Stripping away the 8"-12" of organic topsoil at the roadside ditch in preparation of placement of drive culvert

Placement of 8"-10" of stone upon drive area which has been stripped of topsoil. Large 3"-4" stone is placed first upon the ground with smaller 1"-2" stone on top.

Topsoil is the uppermost 8"-12" of organic soil found on a building site. Prior to digging the foundation hole we strip this soil and stockpile it on several piles on site. After all exterior concrete sidewalk and drive areas have been poured we regrade this soil back over all lawn areas in preparation of planting grass.

Foundations are excavated with a mechanical track hoe. Excavation depths are precisely controlled utilizing state-of-the-art laser leveling equipment.

The 4-wheel front end loader is backfilling the outside foundation wall with washed gravel.

All foundation walls are backfilled to the finished ground level with washed stone. Here, the gravel will be carried to the top of the black tar line.

Careful placement of backfill material inside this garage area ensures foundation walls will not be damaged during this process.
